NEW AIR SCRIBE ALERT! Meet the Maia! We will also have a new budget air scribe launching in the next few weeks... so watch this space.
Xipheroceras in a “popped” nodule. The ammonite is approx. 12cm diameter, including the crushed outer coil. Calcite centre is 70mm. Back of the nodule is split flat revealing a complete promicroceras (17mm). Calcite quality not the best. Could possibly be better if prepared from the other side, if you fancy the work.
Nodule 175 x 150mm.
★ ★ ★ Difficult. Recommended to use air pens and/or air abrasive where possible. Harder rocks and more complex fossils. More likely to be ‘sticky’.
